You magnificent bastard, you did it. This was everything I wanted and more. So many good places, so many good photos, so much good history. Wow. The haint blue was one of my favorite parts of wandering the New Orleans streets - I love seeing the history stay alive. Also "A home fit for the most toxic vampire couple to ever immortally live." Yes, so much yes to this. Obsessed with everything you do thank you for this treat
I love a good travel despatch. Read every word and felt like I was there, and it feels like you didn't try and do too much either, which is my pitfall when I travel. I adore house tours and hope I'll see Gallier House for myself some day.
I feel you on trying to do too much! It's a learned skill to let the day take you where it's meant to go and we definitely didn't go to all the places we intended to, which is okay!
Oh, that was so fun, thank you, Glenn! I’ve wanted to go to New Orleans for ages, but sadly not a safe proposition for me now (as a non-American). Someday!
I loved the first season of “Interview” but gave up on the rest,
So many good spots!!!! The best !!! My husband got a t-shirt printed with one of those Bellocq photos of the same woman when we were last there ! And omg, those Bode shoes almost got me too...so good
Love this! Century Girl Vintage and Hotel Peter & Paul were my faves when I was there in March. Bookmarking this post for next time, and so fascinating about haint blue!!
I LOVED this overview! It’s my own little corner of joy to settle in with a cup of coffee and read through your emails - and be inspired by all things Glenn. Also, my favorite line: “a little like church on Sunday (minus the guilt.)” haha

You sure know how to boost my ego 😭 (and the only one who shares my love of Loustat, which might mean even more!)

Hopefully someday you can visit! There's a Fluevog store, after all 😉
Give season 2 of Interview a chance! It's so good!
I loved every bit of this! So many good details here--I made ton of notes!
We go to New Orleans for Thanksgiving every year and eat at Muriel's for Thanksgiving dinner and it is great!
Oh, how fun! Muriel's for Thanksgiving sounds like a vibe!
Thank you for reading!
Fabulous travel report! I need to go back to NOLA immediately.
Love Hotel Peter and Paul. I want to visit their Baltimore hotel next
All their other hotels are in cities I've never really thought to visit, but I just might have to add Baltimore to the list!
Loved this so much - now you have to write one of these for wherever you travel!
tysm!! It was a great way to actually remember the adventure, so I just might!
The headboard! We have been wanting a new bed…🤔😍
haunted country farmhouse! haunted country farmhouse!

A t-shirt, how fun! I'm jealous!!
The Bode shoes are good, not great -- which really solidifies that I will likely not be making another purchase from them lol
honestly this makes me feel so validated
