Valentine’s Day. It’s cheerfully campy, delightfully cringey, and spectacularly saccharine - it tickles all of the senses!
There’s goodness, sweetness, tenderness that sprouts and grows in the cracks between the heartbreak, the sorrow, the hurt — love, especially in these flaming-garbage-can times, is an act of resistance.
Let this be your reminder to call the friend you haven’t talked to in a minute, take the new co-worker out to lunch, send your mom a card in the mail, strike up a conversation with someone who looks like they need connection. You don’t have to buy anything new or shower someone in lots of gifts to show them you care!
