10 Things - Dispatch #009
10 things I've read, loved, watched, wish listed, consumed, etc etc etc
Happy Friday!
Let’s get into it.
Jeauni Cassanova - Jeauni is *the* reminder that fashion is supposed to be f-u-n! On top of being a collector of incredible historical and one-of-a-kind couture pieces, Cassanova also knows how to be playful in expressing their personality through the art of getting dressed. I would highly recommend a scroll through Jeauni’s content, mostly to see the progression of how their style has developed over time. Personal style takes time! And exploring things that aren’t fashion!
Priscilla - Priscilla was a dreamy visual journey that I wanted to be lost in far longer than the hour and 50 minute run time. Sofia Coppola proven yet again that she is a master of bringing you into a world and time period through color, detail, and carefully shot cinematography. I personally love love loved it and it immediately made me want to wear heavy winged eyeliner like never before.
Alexa Chung’s “40 Pearls of Wisdom” - One of the ultimate “it” girls of 2000s, I have always loved Alexa’s sense of humor and light hearted approach to being in the public eye. My favorite pearl from this was #23!!
Polly Fern - Polly Fern is an illustrator and ceramicist based out of the UK. I’ve stumbled across her work a few times in my explore feed, but finally took the time to browse her website. Her online shop is filled with all sorts of goodies that would make a special gift for the holidays! I love all her paper boxes and bins — so special.
Reath Design - Reath Design is the interior design brainchild of Frances Merrill. Her work blends color and texture and textiles in a way that makes my soul very happy. It pleases my inner bby Yoda who loves dark and moody but colorful and playful. Would highly recommend a browse for lots of unique home interior inspo.
This metallic apron from Gohar - Is it practical? Unclear. Is it chic af? 100000%. Also the lace hand detail is just *chef’s kiss*
André 3000’s new album, New Blue Sun - Andre and his flute and mystical magical ambient sounds. It’s not the André 3000 album we thought we were going to get, but it’s maybe the one we need. Perfect for study time, chill time, cocktail and conversation time.
This picture of Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen - Honestly, while I know they’re OG fashion icons, I don’t always get the MKA hype. I definitely don’t get the “awarded designer of the year multiple years in a row” hype. I do, however, dig the outfit vibes in this pic and it reminded me that I have like 15 different leopard print coats bookmarked on Etsy and eBay. If you’re now also debating one, check out this one, this one or this one.
Le Puzz - I know we all ended up with puzzle fatigue during the pandemic but I think enough time has passed to get over it and reignite the relaxing evening activity that is some moody music, a cocktail, and a damn good puzzle. I need a break from all the doom scrolling and promotional marketing emails of the holiday season so I will be considering this puzzle featuring my one of my favorites, 69 Tearz. A wine + puzzle date night would make a very nice gift this holiday season to catch up with your best pal.
Edie Parker Tabletop Lighter - If you’ve followed for long enough, you know I love a good kitschy lighter. And while yes, there are PLENTY in the secondhand and vintage world, I am a huge fan of this cake one from Edie Parker. Like *the* perfect conversation piece when hosting. Need is a strong word, but I might need it. *fights urge to add to cart*
Well, there ya have it. Thank you THANK YOU all for the hype, love, and support of this week’s gift guide. Due to its popularity, I will have a Vol. 2 speed round hitting your inbox Monday morning - see ya then! Please share Trash Panic with someone you think might enjoy it. It would mean the world to me!
Until next time,
xo,
G
